BIOGRAPHY
Linda
McCray is an accomplished painter living in Clancy, Montana. She graduated
from The University of Montana with a Master of Fine Arts in Painting and
Drawing and cum laude from Washington State
University with a bachelor’s in fine arts. Mayor Jim Smith appointed
her to the Helena Public Art Committee in 2004, which she currently chairs.
Bishop Morlino appointed her to the Diocese of Helena's Stewardship Advisory
Council in 2001, which she currently serves as art consultant. The Governor's Cultural Foundation awarded her a show at the Governor's
Mansion. Her paintings are in several permanent collections including the Washington States Arts
Commission's Permanent Collection, Montana Museum of Art and Culture Percent
for Arts Collection and the Helena Regional Airport. Her art has been shown in churches, museums, art galleries and
publications nationwide.
